Western States P-47 Thunderbolt (Jug) Pilots Reunion

The next reunion of the Western States P-47 Thunderbolt (Jug) Pilots will take place at the Phoenix Marriott Mesa in Mesa, Arizona from October 29 through November 1, 2007.

A special room rate of $89.00 per night is available for those attending the reunion and applies to 3 days before and 3 days after the event. The group code PPAPPAA must be mentioned for that rate. The cutoff date for the discounted room rate is September 25, 2007. Registration packages range from $40.00 to $65.00 and depend on meal and activity choices.

Various activities are planned for the reunion, including a welcome party and a banquet/dinner, a business meeting and a visit to Luke Air Force Base. Falcon Field is near Mesa and houses the Arizona Commemorative Air Force Museum where the most authentically restored, and still flying, World War II B-17 is located. The latest magnet for Mesa is the opening of a Bass Pro Shop, with 181,125 square feet of outdoor world items. Last year's reunion in Reno, Nevada drew 82 individuals who shared memories, information and a good time.
